Jason is a native Texan who grew up in Houston who bleeds green and gold. As a Baylor alum, he enjoys tailgating and watching the Bears play football. When the Bears aren't playing, Jason enjoys spending time with his family. He stole his wife's heart after stepping over his two left feet while dancing at Red River, a country dancing bar. They now have one baby girl, Laurel, and two dogs Bear (also a Baylor fan) and a Sheep doodle named Willow.
A graduate from Baylor University, Jason started his career at Ryan, LLC where he led a team of professionals in the Complex Property tax group in Dallas. He continued his career at Weaver & Tidwell as the practice leader for their property tax group before starting Bremar & Armstrong with JP Bremar.
Jason is a state and local tax professional with more than a decade of specialized experience focused in real and personal property tax consulting across more than 40 states.
He has led clients through every aspect of the property tax process, from compliance and tax planning to valuation and appeals. Having worked directly with county and state assessors to negotiate property tax assessments and appeals, he always advocates for his clients’ best interest.

JP grew up on both coasts, San Diego, CA and Westchester County, NY. He met his wife at his alma mater, the University of Dallas. It didn't take long for him to realize that she was the one. They settled down in Dallas and now have 3 children. When JP isn't delivering property tax justice for his clients, he can be found on the golf course trying to break 100. JP also enjoys daily walks with his family and barbequing on the weekends with his Traeger.
JP began his career at Ryan, LLC and nationally managed clients with over $5.9 billion in assets located across the country. Locally, he managed a North Texas portfolio and personally handled the appeals and value settlement negotiations on over $1.9 billion in assessed value annually. JP continued his career at Morrison & Head where he managed an industrial and office portfolio for many institutional clients with assets located in DFW. He then started BA Property Tax with Jason Armstrong, a full service Texas based property tax firm.
